l put together my gerbils yesterday after less than a week split and they quickly took on their roles as expected (one dom, one sub) and they instantly started grooming.
Good sign?

Yes, grooming is a very good sign. Just make sure they do not fight severely. Congrats!

Seems a good sign. As long as there is not any fighting i would not be worried. Rodents in general adapt well to a new companion, espiecally if they already know them. I would not be worried, all seems good! =]
